Rangehood design has gone full circle with kitchen designers once again preferring the unobtrusive look of the concealed models in order to create a visually uncluttered space where the aesthetics of the major cooking appliances take centre stage.

Renowned for its influential role in kitchen design, Smeg has once again led the charge with the release of a super powerful, yet remarkably low-noise, concealed rangehood that ups the anti in terms of power and performance.

With four speed settings the Diamond KDIAM90AX can remove the grease-laden fumes from the fiercest stir fry.  Indeed, the intensive setting removes a massive 1555 cubic metres of air an hour.  And remarkably, the noise levels are kept to a minimum - just 46dBA at the lowest setting.

Having a width of 90cms and a finish of high grade stainless steel the Diamond undermount rangehood can be ducted direct to the atmosphere or recirculated to the kitchen.

Impressive features include the four LED lights – for clear, shadow-free cooking – two stainless steel baffle filters with replacement indicators and optional activated charcoal filters.

The Smeg Diamond KDIAM90AX concealed undermount rangehood, with powerful twin motors totalling 550 watts, is available nationally from appliance specialists and electrical retailers at a RRP of $2690.  It carries a two year parts and labour warranty.
