Smeg partners with leading Australian supermarket Coles

In celebration of the return of Fresh Stikeez collectibles, Smeg has partnered with Coles and Coles Express to give 100 lucky customers their very own retro style FAB28 fridge when they find the golden avocado. Coles’ Fresh Stikeez 2020 collection includes a whole fridge filled with characters from every food group, all of which can now be recycled at all Coles supermarkets and repurposed.

Customers can collect one Stikeez at the check-out for every $30 they spend in one transaction at Coles Supermarkets, Coles Express and Coles Online. Until March 25 2020 there are 100 golden avocados to collect in order to win your own iconic FAB28. Originally conceived 22 years ago,  FAB’s signature flair has made it one of the world’s most distinctive kitchen appliances and a cult favourite of style and creative aficionados.

With a 70 plus year cooking heritage the preservation of fresh food has remained a driving force behind the innovation of every Smeg appliance. Designed and manufactured by Smeg in Northern Italy, the iconic FAB28 fridge features Smeg’s unmissable 50s retro design, an all new Life Plus 0°C Drawer; a controlled temperature zone for better and longer preservation of perishables to maintain freshness, aroma and nutrients of fruits and vegetables - the perfect place to store your golden avocado!

The collectibles form part of the Coles Fresh Five Challenge which encourages kids to eat all the five food groups daily by introducing a ‘reward’ system. Endorsed by the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, the challenge allows children to track the different food groups they have tried by adding a Stikeez to the corresponding item on a specially-designed placemat available free from Coles.  The number of serves is based on recommendations set by the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
