A true culinary masterpiece

Smeg, renowned for its passion for food and design, is recognised as the preferred brand for the consummate entertainer.  Its latest collaboration, with Italian architect Guido Canali, has produced Dolce Stil Novo, Smeg’s finest and most extensive collection yet.

Dolce Stil Novo is a seamless integration of sophistication and luxury, where passion meets precision with inimitable style and ground-breaking technology.  It is the first collection to bring professional culinary results to the home cook.  From steam assist ovens to restaurant quality blast chillers and wine cellaring for the wine connoisseur.

Each piece within the Dolce Stil Novo collection features minimalist styling in black Eclipse glass with refined copper or stainless steel detailing.  The look is one of uninterrupted lines, unsurpassed craftsmanship and pure elegance.

Smeg’s Blade Flame is a world-first in gas burner technology.  A continuous ring of vertical flame guarantees maximum heat transfer with reduced heat dispersion.  This increases efficiency by at least 20 per cent when compared to standard burners.  Available as an option are artistic trivets; inspired by nature, birds (pictured), butterflies, leaves and fruit, transform the cooktop into a work of art, with the same performance provided by standard trivets.

Dolce Stil Novo’s 45cm wine cellar and sommelier drawer are two of the most elegant and beautiful inclusions in this ground-breaking collection.  Both appliances are built-in and feature a low vibration cooling system plus internals crafted in pure oak.  The underbench wine cellar has dual temperature zones to ensure all wines are cellared in ideal conditions.

Eclipse black glass technology ensures wines are perfectly shielded and protected from damaging light.

It also provides greater visual impact and gives maximum transparency when the light is on.  The wine cellars feature a special ventilation function to maintain the ideal level of humidity.  The special carbon filter insulates the temperature and humidity within the wine cellar, ensuring the air quality remains constant.

The wine cellars’ solid oak racks are both removable and sliding to ensure flexibility in terms of cellaring and preserving a mixed collection of wines. The perfectly shaped housings enable the racks to accommodate bottles of different diameters and heights.

The Dolce Stil Novo built-in wine cellar has been awarded three of the most prestigious international design awards – Good Design, iF and Red Dot.

The Dolce Stil Novo sommelier drawer is an artisanal masterpiece that perfectly complements the wine cellar.  With an external finish in Eclipse black glass and copper or stainless steel detailing, the drawer is equipped with the highest quality sommelier tools for serving, storing and recording precious wines.
